An injection-molded plastic kit of the Czech two-seat Let L-23 Super Blanik training glider in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. The model faithfully captures the clean lines of this engineless aircraft, finely engraved surface detail and the two-seat cockpit. The box holds plastic sprues, clear parts for the canopy and a decal sheet. Check the exact contents and the number of marking options on the packaging of the particular item.
The Let L-23 Super Blanik is a two-seat all-metal glider built above all to train pilots, including advanced flying. It followed on from the very successful L-13 Blanik trainer. The prototype first flew in 1988, series production ran at Let Kunovice from 1989 and ended in 2006; about three hundred machines were built in all. The Super Blanik is among the most widespread training gliders in Europe and in the world.
Cut the parts off the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Paint the two-seat cockpit and pick out its detail before the fuselage is closed, and mask the large glazing carefully. Gliders tend to come in eye-catching color schemes; lay the paints on with an airbrush and finish the glossy areas with a clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
