UM M36B2 Tank Destroyer 1:72 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American tank destroyer of the Second World War with a turret for a 90 mm gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit in 1:72 scale from UM represents the American M36B2 tank destroyer. The package holds more than two hundred injection-molded plastic parts, a set of photo-etched parts and tracks of the link-and-length type. The model is precisely engraved and offers a detailed running gear and hull.
The M36B2 came about by mounting a turret with a powerful 90 mm gun onto the hulls of M10 tank destroyers at a time when M10A1 hulls were running out. The strong weapon could hit even heavy German tanks, and so the M36 became a valuable mainstay of American units at the end of the war. The open turret widened the view but left the crew exposed.
First build up and clean the link-and-length tracks and the running gear. Glue the photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic. The open turret invites detailed work on the interior; after the base color, bring the model to life with a wash in the recesses and pick out the edges with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
