The package holds a carrier sheet with pre-cut self-adhesive shapes. It is not a kit or a spare part, but an aid for the painting stage. The ADVANCED designation describes the scope of the set: it is the extended level, which offers more than the basic BASIC level and less than the widest EXPERT level.
The versions named above differ from one another in equipment and armament, but the shape of the cockpit and the glazing is essentially the same, which is why one set of masks can cover several of them. The practical consequence for the buyer is that the set also suits you when you build a different version from the one you had planned. Before buying, though, check that your kit matches the mold the set is cut for; the shapes are made for specific parts and with another manufacturer the division of the glazing may differ.
The Starfighter has a slender fuselage and a small canopy, so the offcuts are tiny and handling them calls for sharp tweezers and a steady hand. Degrease the glazing first. Seat the mask dry, check that it matches the frame and then press it down with a toothpick all the way around. Apply the paint in several thin coats. Take the mask off shortly after drying, folding it back over itself. Store the rest of the sheet flat, out of direct light.
The package holds only the masking templates. The kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
