Metal landing flaps for the Fw 190D 1:72 from IBG: a 3D-printed set that convincingly renders the metal variant of the fighter's flaps.
Responsibility details are not available.
A standalone detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The set contains 3D-printed parts representing the metal variant of the lowered landing flaps of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D family. With the flaps down and the fine structure of the ribs, the underside of the wing looks more realistic than with the closed parts from the basic kit of Fw 190D models in 1:72 scale.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D was the late version of the German fighter with the Jumo 213 inverted V12 engine. At the end of the war, flaps made of wood appeared on some aircraft because of raw material shortages, but the standard was metal flaps, which is what this set represents.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The inner surfaces of the flaps and their ribs come into their own once painted and lightly picked out with panel lines and a wash.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
