Eduard die-cut self-adhesive MH-53 masks in 1:72 scale. A masking set for a clean spray finish on the cockpit glazing and the windows of this helicopter; it is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive die-cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but an accessory to the build: the masks serve for a clean, accurate spray finish on the frames of the cockpit glazing and the windows of this helicopter. The film follows the shape of the frames exactly, so there is no laborious cutting and the edges stay sharp.
The MH-53 is an American heavy helicopter derived from the Sikorsky S-65 family, with a large cargo hold and a long range. Machines of this series served on special operations and on missions supporting land and naval forces. The rugged helicopter, with its glazed cockpit and a row of fuselage windows, offers plenty of areas that have to be masked carefully when painting.
Lift the mask off the backing, settle it on the glazing and press it down. Spray the frames with an airbrush, first with the interior shade and then with the exterior tone, and peel them off once dry. Cover the areas between the frames and the side windows with liquid mask or tape. Degrease the glazing before applying, for better adhesion.
This is not a helicopter model but a set of masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
