Eduard 1:72 MiG-15 ejection seat is a resin (BRASSIN) set with a faithfully cast ejection seat for a model of the MiG-15 fighter. It is a detail accessory for the cockpit, not a stand-alone model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard brings a finely worked ejection seat of the KK-1 type used in MiG-15 fighters in 1:72 scale. The casting is complemented by parts for seating it in the cockpit and usually by photo-etched details and belts as well. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that raises the fidelity of the interior.
The MiG-15 is a Soviet jet fighter of the end of the 1940s with a swept wing, used among other places in the Korean War. The ejection seat is one of the most visible items of the cockpit, where a faithful casting markedly surpasses a simplified plastic part.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. We recommend painting the seat and accenting it with a dark wash before setting it into the cockpit. Shape the photo-etched belts with tweezers and apply the paint with an airbrush or a brush.
The accessory is intended for completing a plastic kit. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
