The set contains turned metal 23 mm cannon barrels and pitot tubes for a model of the Soviet MiG-17PF fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a set of detailed replacement parts with which you replace the coarser plastic pieces. The maker is the Polish company MASTER, a specialist in turned metal barrels, pitots and probes for aircraft models.
The MiG-17PF (NATO reporting name Fresco D) was the Soviet all-weather version of the MiG-17 fighter, fitted with a search radar in the nose. It carried 23 mm cannon armament. The combination of sharp metal barrels and accurate pitots markedly raises the realism of the finished model.
Cut off the original plastic parts, drill a hole in what is left and glue the metal barrels and pitots in with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
This is a detailed metal accessory, not an aircraft model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
