Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Mirage 2000C fighter in 1:72 scale from the French manufacturer Heller. The letter C in the designation corresponds to the single-seat fighter version of the French Air Force. The model is meant to be built and painted, and it is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Mirage 2000 is a single-engined combat aircraft with a tailless layout and a delta wing, following on from the earlier delta machines of French manufacture. Unlike them, however, it uses a fly-by-wire control system that offsets the drawbacks of the delta configuration in maneuvering and on the approach to land. The C version was conceived for air combat and interception, served with the French Air Force and, in export forms, with a number of other users as well. Characteristic features are the slim fuselage, the side air intakes with their regulating cones and the tall vertical tail.
Finish and paint the cockpit before gluing the fuselage halves together, and mask the canopy before spraying. Fill and sand the joints on the leading edges of the delta wing carefully so that a clean line remains. Spray the gray aircraft camouflage in thin coats; a two-shade scheme comes out well after the panel lines have been lightly emphasized. Lay down a gloss clear coat before the decals, treat the decals with a decal softener once they have dried and finally unify the surface with a matte or satin varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
