An injection-molded plastic kit of the French Dassault Mirage F.1CR tactical reconnaissance aircraft in 1:72 scale from Special Hobby. The model captures the reconnaissance version of the Mirage F.1 family and the package contains parts specific to the reconnaissance configuration as well as a rich choice of underwing stores. The Mirage F.1CR was the dedicated reconnaissance version of the successful Mirage F.1 fighter operated by the French Air Force. Unlike the earlier delta wings, the F.1 series carried a conventional swept wing and was powered by a turbojet with an afterburner. The aircraft carried built-in as well as podded reconnaissance sensors and stayed in French service as the last active F.1 version until it was retired in 2014.
Glue the parts with thin plastic cement and protect the finely engraved panel lines when sanding the joints. Paint and shade the cockpit before the fuselage is closed up, and glue the glazing with canopy glue. Apply a gloss coat before the decals; the typical French camouflage combines gray and green tones. Bring out the panel lines with a wash and add light wear and traces of service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
