Eduard 1:72 North American P-51C Mustang SPACE set is a set of 3D decals for the interior of the model. It is not an aircraft kit but an add-on that refines the cockpit in 1:72 scale.

An add-on set from the SPACE line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for 1:72 scale. The contents are three-dimensional (3D) decals that give the instrument panel and the cockpit consoles a layered relief and pre-printed color. In this small scale it is a great saving of work: the dials and placards that would be hard to paint by hand are printed.
The North American P-51C Mustang is the version of the American fighter with the so-called razorback fuselage, that is with a spine running smoothly into the fin and with a framed canopy. Compared with the early Mustangs, this line received the Packard V12 with the licensed Merlin, which markedly improved performance at high altitude. It was with that engine that the Mustang became an escort fighter able to follow bomber formations over long distances.
SPACE decals are not self-adhesive and they are not soaked whole in lukewarm water like conventional wet decals. With a damp sponge and a drop of detergent moisten only the backing paper, separate the part from it with tweezers or the tip of a scalpel, set it on a clean degreased surface into a drop of dispersion glue, that is white PVA glue, and press it down gently with a soft tool. The manufacturer does not recommend super glue, and do not use a decal softener at all, it would damage the layered print. In 1:72 scale work with good lighting and a magnifier, the parts are tiny. Finish the cockpit before gluing the fuselage halves together and blend it at the end with a thin coat of flat varnish.
The set is an add-on to a plastic kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
