German watertight doors, 1:350 is a decal set from the Eduard brand for ship models. It deals with a repeating detail on the walls of superstructures without gluing tiny metal parts.

An accessory for ship modelers, not a kit. These are 3D printed decals from the production of the Czech company Eduard: the color is printed from the factory and the layer has a height of its own, so a door on the flat wall of a superstructure casts a shadow and does not look like a drawing. The set is intended for models of German ships from the period of the Second World War in 1:350 scale.
In 1:350 scale a door measures only a few millimeters, and yet it is the doors that give large gray areas their scale. Without them the side of a superstructure looks like an empty plate; with them a viewer tells at once how high the structure really is. The advantage over painting is that the edges of the frame stay sharp — drawing lines by hand in this scale nearly always lets the thickness of the line run away.
The work is fine and above all repetitive. Proceed according to the manufacturer's instructions: the surface has to be smooth and degreased, wet only the carrier paper, separate the elements one at a time, lay them with tweezers and fix them with white dispersion glue. It pays to plan the positions in advance, ideally from a drawing of the superstructures, and to watch for a uniform height above the deck. A decal softener and a setting solution do not belong here, as their chemistry would attack the printed resin and ruin the element. Nothing is repainted. The contrast against the gray finish tends to be sharper after sticking them on than is desirable on a finished ship, so even the result out with matte varnish and a fine wash.
It is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
