The set holds a resin under-nose sensor pod, the so-called chin pod, in the version with ECM equipment and the TCS television camera system, which was carried under the nose of the F-14A/B Tomcat fighter. The casting from the Czech brand Quickboost is sharper and cleaner than the plastic part and usually comes with small clear parts for the position lights and the camera window.
The chin pod is a noticeable feature under the nose of the Tomcat. The form with ECM and the TCS system matches the upgraded machines, on which the camera system served for visual identification of targets at long range.
Cut the parts off the casting blocks, wash them free of mold release agent residue and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Glue the clear parts carefully so that they do not go cloudy. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
