Responsibility details are not available.
This is a pre-painted photo-etched instrument panel set in 1:72 scale from Yahu Models. It is not an aircraft kit but a finished color cockpit accessory that replaces the plastic instrument panel from the box. The panel is built up from several laminated photo-etched layers into a three-dimensional relief, and the dial faces are painted at the factory and coated with a gloss varnish that imitates the cover glass of the instruments. The set is intended for plastic models of late version P-40 fighters in 1:72.
It replaces the flat plastic or decal instrument panel and gives the cockpit of the Warhawk fine, faithful detail without laborious painting of instruments. The panel is degreased, shaped a little if needed, and bonded with super glue.
The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk was an American single-engine fighter of the Second World War with an Allison V12 engine. The P-40M version was among the late machines with a lengthened fuselage, known in the Commonwealth as the Kittyhawk. The P-40s became famous for their service in North Africa, the Pacific and with volunteer units.
This is an accessory (a photo-etched instrument panel), not an aircraft model. The base kit and glue are not included in the package.
