This product is not an airplane model but a set of cast resin exhausts with the characteristic flared outlet in 1:72 scale. It replaces the plastic parts from the box and gives a Consolidated PBY Catalina model more faithful detail.
The Consolidated PBY Catalina was an American twin-engine flying boat, also built as an amphibian, widely committed during the Second World War to maritime reconnaissance, patrol and rescue work. The exhausts with the flared outlet are among the typical features of the engine nacelles.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash off the release agent and glue them with super glue. The outlets come out well once they are painted in burnt metal shades and brought out with a dark wash.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
