A set of self-adhesive masks for the glazing of a model of the single-engine Piper PA-25 Pawnee in 1:72 scale. The name gives masks for the outside of the cockpit. The product is an accessory for painting, not a kit and not decals.
The Pawnee is an agricultural aircraft with a high-set cockpit and large glazed areas; in many countries it also served as a tug for gliders. It is precisely the large glazing that causes trouble during a build: every inaccuracy on a frame is visible at once on a finished model, and bright, often colorful civil finishes hide nothing. A pre-cut mask holds the exact shape of the frame, so cutting tape by eye becomes unnecessary.
Wash the clear part, let it dry and apply the masks dry with tweezers. Press them down from the center to the edges with a soft tool. With civil schemes in strong colors it pays to paint in layers: a white or light gray base first, then the color itself — it covers more evenly and the edge of the frame comes out clean. If you are planning multi-color stripes, let each layer cure properly, or it will tear off during the next masking. Lift the masks soon after they are dry, with a pull at a shallow angle to the surface.
The package holds masks only. The model, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
