Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from Roden represents the experimental Austro-Hungarian PKZ-2 tethered helicopter of 1918. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit and a stand is included in the package.
The PKZ-2 was an Austro-Hungarian experimental tethered observation helicopter of the First World War. During trials the machine was tethered to the ground and was to serve as a stable observation post in place of a tethered balloon. It never reached frontline service, but historically it is among the first machines with a main rotor that managed to lift off the ground.
The structure of the real machine is delicate, so separate the parts carefully with a sharp knife and glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic. Reinforce the fine elements of the frame structure and apply a primer before painting. A restrained wash will help the details stand out. The model shows to advantage on the stand supplied.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
