This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker UM (Unimodels) captures the German Panzerbefehlswagen 38(t) command tank. The set usually holds photo-etched parts, among them parts for the frame antenna, and plastic tracks built up by the link-and-length method.
The Panzerbefehlswagen 38(t) was the command version of the Panzer 38(t) tank, derived from the Czechoslovak LT vz. 38. Compared with the combat tank it carried extended radio equipment and the characteristic frame antenna on the hull rear, which served for communication and for directing units. The weapon fit was as a rule reduced in favor of the communication equipment.
Take care over the fine photo-etched parts of the frame antenna, which will give the model its character; glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Join the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement. We recommend an airbrush over a primer and weathering with washes and pigments; tone the antenna down carefully once it is painted.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
