A Special Mask masking set for models of the late Spitfire Mk.22 and Mk.24 and their naval counterparts the Seafire Mk.46 and Mk.47 in 1:72 scale. These are precisely cut masks of kabuki tape that make it easy to paint the frames of the glazed canopy, and usually the wheels as well, sharply and cleanly. The tape is low-tack, follows the shapes well and leaves no sticky traces when it is removed.
The Spitfire Mk.22 and Mk.24 are among the best performing late versions of the legendary British fighter, powered by the Griffon engine. The Seafire Mk.46 and Mk.47 were their carrier-borne equivalents intended for naval aviation. In the small 1:72 scale a clean paint job on the canopy is difficult, and this is exactly where a mask set saves time.
For modelers building late Spitfires and Seafires in a small scale who want sharp glazing frames without the laborious cutting of tape.
Paints, glue and the model itself are not included in the package.
