This set from the Czech maker Hauler contains the parts for building two small steel containers in 1:72 scale. It relies on fine photo-etched parts which, once bent and glued, form faithful side walls with pressed profiles, hinges and locks. It is not a model of a vehicle or of military equipment: these are diorama accessories with which you fill the space around the main model, whether at an airfield, in a depot or at a military base.
The containers bring a diorama base to life, complete a logistics or storage scene and serve as an eye-catching detail beside vehicles and aircraft. Two pieces in the package let you create rhythm and depth in the composition.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and make the bends along the pre-scored lines, ideally over a bender or two rulers. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The metal surface takes a primer well, as do rust and wear effects made with pigments afterwards.
This is an accessory for a scene, not a model in its own right. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the glue, the paints and the base model are not included in the package.
