A waterslide decal sheet in 1:72 scale meant for models of the Spitfire fighter in the Mk.Vb version. The sheet offers markings for particular machines and completes a model with national insignia, squadron codes and other lettering. The printing is crisp, in reliable register and with a thin carrier film.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.V was one of the most numerous versions of this fighter; it was powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine. The form with the b type wing carried a mixed armament of two cannons and four machine guns. The Mk.V served on many fronts of the Second World War and was deployed in different environments, including the fighting in the Mediterranean.
Clear-coat the surface under the decal with gloss varnish to prevent silvering. Let the decal soften in lukewarm water, slide it into place and press it down. Softeners make settling on the surface detail easier. A final matte or satin varnish will unify the markings.
