Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masking templates from the Peewit brand with the shape of the camouflage fields cut out, for a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vc fighter in 1:72 scale. It is neither a kit nor paints: it is an accessory with which you transfer the camouflage boundaries onto the model precisely, repeatably and without laboriously cutting masks out of tape. On the Spitfire this is a sensitive spot: the eye knows the shape of the camouflage fields, and every deviation shows on a finished model.
The Spitfire Mk.V was the most numerously built version of the whole family and was used in Europe, in the Mediterranean and in North Africa. The Vc designation goes with what is called the universal wing, which allowed various armament fits. Camouflage schemes on these machines changed with the theater and the period: on British day fighters of the time you will commonly meet a two-color upper surface and a lighter underside, but the exact shades and the shape of the fields belong to a particular machine, not to the version in general.
For modelers who are building the Spitfire Mk.Vc in 1:72 scale and want camouflage with a faithful shape to the fields. It brings the greatest benefit when working with an airbrush, because the result is predictable and easy to repeat on the next model as well.
This is a modeling accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package. Before buying, check that the set matches your kit and the scheme you have chosen.
