Vacuum-formed canopy Hawker Tempest Mk.V 1:72 (Rob Taurus) is a clear replacement cockpit canopy with thin walls, a replacement for the part from the kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory, not a model, for aircraft models of the Hawker Tempest Mk.V in 1:72 scale. The canopy is drawn from thin clear film by the vacuum process, so it has finer walls and higher clarity than the injection-molded part from the box. The package usually holds several pieces, for a choice of open and closed position or as a spare.
The Hawker Tempest Mk.V was a British fighter of the end of the Second World War with the powerful Napier Sabre engine, whose cylinders are arranged in an H, and with a thin wing. It excelled in high speed at low altitude, made its mark destroying V-1 flying bombs and attacking ground targets. The bulged canopy gave a good view.
Cut the canopy out with a sharp scalpel close to the outline and sand the edges down finely. For maximum gloss the part can be dipped in a gloss varnish. It is glued with clear PVA glue, or very carefully with cyanoacrylate, so that the fumes do not dull the plastic. The frames are masked and sprayed at the end.
This is an accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
