What the base is for

A finished aircraft model looks different in a cabinet when it stands on an area that belongs to it. This base carries the motif of the airfield apron of the Ukrainian Vasylkiv base. The sheet is of acrylic 3 mm thick, measures 280 x 180 mm and weighs 170 g.

Where it fits

The format is reckoned for models in 1:72 scale, that is, for the most widespread aircraft scale, in which a fighter fits comfortably onto the sheet with room to spare. You will use it in a cabinet, on a display table and when photographing, where it replaces a distracting background with a uniform area. When you have several from the same range, a collection holds together visually as well.

Care and handling

The surface is acrylic, so it is easily scratched. Wipe it with a soft cloth moistened with water and a drop of detergent, never dry. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners and thinners, as they can dull the surface or cause small cracks in it. A model only needs to be set down; gluing it is not necessary, and if you want to secure it, use double-sided adhesive pads, which can be removed without a trace.
