The figures are modeled seated, so that they can be placed in a British Dennis 3T truck of the First World War. The vehicle itself is not in the package; Armory lists it as a separate kit. The figures therefore suit bringing a finished truck or a scene to life, rather than serving as a standalone model.
The Dennis three-ton truck was one of the common British trucks of the First World War and carried supplies as well as men behind the front. A British officer was told from a private by the cut of his tunic, by his leather equipment and by his headgear; the privates wore a woolen tunic, webbing and a steel helmet. These are exactly the differences worth keeping when painting, because they give the scene its sense.
Wash the figures first in lukewarm soapy water and carefully remove the mold seams; in 1:72 they are thin and easily sanded away too far. A primer is mandatory. Paint the skin and the equipment separately and leave the face for last, because at this size it is the most demanding area. Seat the figures dry before gluing, so that the seated pose really fits.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
