A set of 12 turned metal 127 mm Type 89 barrels (the short version) for Japanese warships in 1:350 scale. It is not a model of a ship but a detail accessory that raises the fidelity of the anti-aircraft armament.
Responsibility details are not available.
The package contains twelve accurately turned metal barrels of 127 mm caliber, which replace the plastic parts from the box of a model of a Japanese warship. The metal barrels have a sharp muzzle, an accurate profile and do not bow the way injection-molded parts do. It is a purely detail accessory, not a kit of a whole ship.
The 127 mm Type 89 gun was the standard dual-purpose anti-aircraft gun of the Imperial Japanese Navy. It was fitted in twin mounts on aircraft carriers, battleships and cruisers and formed the backbone of the long-range anti-aircraft defense. The short version of the barrel matches one particular form of this weapon.
Separate the barrels carefully from the stub and clean them up. It is worth degreasing the metal before painting and going over it with a primer for better adhesion. We recommend an airbrush and fine shades of naval gray, and the muzzle can be brought out with a dark wash.
The set is an accessory, not a model of a ship. It is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
