Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-1 fighter in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Brengun. The package combines injection-molded plastic sprues with fine photo-etched and resin parts and offers decals for the machines of Soviet aces from the Second World War. The combination of materials makes a richly detailed model possible straight from the box.
The Yakovlev Yak-1 was one of the basic Soviet fighters at the start of the Second World War. Mixed wood and metal construction, good agility and simple maintenance made it a popular type on which a number of Soviet pilots scored their successes. Among the famous flyers connected with this type is the fighter ace Lydia Litvyak.
This is a more demanding kit with mixed materials: wash the resin free of mold release agent residue and cut the casting blocks off, and glue the photo-etched and resin parts with super glue. After priming, spray with an airbrush in Soviet schemes and bring out the panel lines with a wash. Use gloss varnish before the decals and unify the joints with a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
