This is a Gunze paint from the anniversary range issued for the 40th anniversary of the brand. The anniversary designation is carried by a sister item as well, so it forms a separate group alongside the brand's ordinary range. The exact name of the shade and the contents of the package are given by the manufacturer on the packaging.
The blue shade suits everywhere a more pronounced area of color is worked with: on sporting and competition machines, on additional elements of equipment, on figures as well as on collector's pieces. Some modelers also acquire an anniversary issue for a collection of shades, which they then have at hand when mixing tones of their own.
Mix the contents thoroughly before use, the pigment settles at the bottom on standing. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; thinners from other ranges often curdle the paint. Apply it in thin coats and let them flash off between one another, a thick coat floods the detail and dries unevenly. A saturated blue shade calls for a light and uniform base, otherwise every blemish underneath shows on the model. Try the shade on a piece of scrap plastic first.
