An injection-molded plastic kit of an American coupe from the era of big displacements in 1:24 scale in the Model Set edition: the box holds the kit, a set of modeling paints, a brush and cement. The manufacturer gives 81 parts, so this is a clear build without exaggerated breakdown. The kit carries the license of the Fast & Furious film series as the car of the character Dominic.
The Plymouth GTX was the top performance model of the Plymouth mid-size range, and the 1971 model year is its last stand-alone one – after that the GTX became only a trim level. The 1971 car was given a rounded body with recessed headlights and pronounced fenders. It belongs to the short golden era of American cars with big V8 engines, which emission rules and rising fuel prices brought to an end immediately afterwards.
An American coupe lives off its large painted surfaces, so sand the mold seams right down and even the surfaces out with a filler primer. The bold colors of this period come out best over a white or light base. Cement the chrome bumpers with the tip of a toothpick and carefully, because cement damages the plating. A dark wash and drybrushing in metallic shades will bring the engine bay and the chassis to life; finish the interior before you close the body up.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The set holds paints, a brush and cement; other accessories are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
