Hauler 1:48 Browning of 12.7 mm caliber is a small photo-etched set for refining the heavy machine gun on a model in the Tamiya kit. It deals with details that cannot be cast in plastic.

A small set with a large impact on the resulting impression. The machine gun tends to be the highest placed part on a model of a vehicle and the viewer's eye falls on it first. On such a tiny object, meanwhile, injection-molded plastic cannot render the perforated cooling jacket, the thin sights or the fine fittings. Photo-etched metal sheet manages it, because its thickness is a fraction of what a mold allows.
The Browning of 12.7 mm caliber, known under the designation M2, is an American heavy machine gun introduced in the interwar period and in use to this day. It was mounted on tanks, armored cars, trucks and aircraft, and its silhouette with the massive cooling jacket around the barrel is among the best known in its category. That is exactly why it is worth giving it attention on a model.
This is a set where a magnifier and a steady hand come in useful. Cut the parts off with a scalpel in such a way that they stay held under the blade, as otherwise they will spring away. Work over a tray with a light-colored bottom. Dose the cyanoacrylate from a drop on a piece of film with the tip of a pin, as an excess would instantly flood the fine perforation. Make the bends in the jaws of tweezers, and on the smallest parts shaping over a needle helps. Paint thinly, best with an airbrush, as a thick coat would blind the fine structure. Do not forget to degrease and prime the metal beforehand.
