Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a fire engine built on the chassis of the famous Ford Model T of 1914, in 1:24 scale. Besides the vehicle itself, the package also contains figures of the crew, so that a small genre scene can be built. The model offers a finely rendered engine and chassis and the typical firefighting equipment of a period vehicle.
The Ford Model T was the first mass-produced automobile and, thanks to its reliability and low production cost, became the basis for all sorts of purpose-built conversions. A number of Model T Fords were converted into fire engines: they carried tanks, hoses, a ladder and other equipment and made a fast response possible at a time when the motorization of fire brigades was only beginning.
Glue the plastic parts with thin cement for plastic, fill the seams and sand them down. Apply a primer before painting; the body classically comes into its own in fire-engine red with a gloss coat, and the metal parts and brass fittings of a period vehicle can be brought out with metallics. The crew figures are painted separately and add both scale and a story to the scene.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
