Pilots of the Republic of China Air Force 1:32 is a set of plastic figures of flying personnel in 1:32 scale from the manufacturer ICM.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of an aircraft but a set of figures. It holds figures of pilots of the Republic of China Air Force of the Second World War period in 1:32 scale, that is in the size matching large models of aircraft. The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The number of figures, the number of parts and the presence of accessory items are stated on the box of the set.
During the years of the conflict with Japan, the Republic of China Air Force used machines from various sources, so the equipment and clothing of the flying personnel were not uniform. Alongside the uniform there appeared leather and canvas flying suits, helmets with goggles and life vests; in warmer regions they flew in lighter kit. It is exactly this variety of equipment that makes the figures a useful addition — in a scene they unambiguously establish the allegiance and the period that the model of the aircraft does not convey on its own.
Figures in 1:32 scale are large enough for every imperfection to show on them. So rather sand the parting lines off than cut them away, and check the mating surfaces of the arms and the head dry. Paint from the bottom upward and in thinned coats — build the skin on a base tone, let a darker glaze into the recesses and lighten the highest places slightly. In this scale the eyes can be done cleanly with a brush of just a few hairs. Leather parts look good after a pass of oil paint, which can be worked for a long time.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
