This injection-molded plastic kit from the manufacturer Tamiya represents the German medium truck of three tons payload with 4x2 drive, one of the most widespread army trucks of the Second World War. The set is typical for its precise fit, its faithfully rendered cab and cargo bed and the driver and passenger figures included. A set of drums and jerrycans is usually included as well.
The subject is the classic German medium truck built in large numbers from the late 1930s. It served to carry troops and materiel on every front and became one of the most typical vehicles of German supply. A characteristic feature is the slightly inclined chassis frame, which evened out the distribution of the load. The cargo bed had a realistic wooden texture.
First finish the chassis, the engine and the cab, and only then fit the cargo bed. The movable front wheels make it easier to settle the model into the terrain of a diorama. You will bring the wooden cargo bed to life with drybrushing and a glaze. The base is the period German gray or a sand shade; bring out the engraved detail with a wash and fine-tune the dust and mud on the wheels and the chassis with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
