This is a plastic figure set from MiniArt in 1:35 scale. The set holds figures of German soldiers of the Second World War in poses typical of riding on the armor of a tank (tank riders), and its special feature is the resin heads, which replace the usual plastic ones and give the faces finer and sharper detail. The figures make it easy to bring a tank model to life and to build a convincing scene of infantry being carried into action.
Carrying infantry on the armor of tanks was common practice in the Second World War, a way of moving soldiers quickly along with the armored vehicles. The poses of soldiers sitting and holding on to the hull are therefore a natural companion to tank models.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic. First wash the resin heads to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); protect your airways while sanding. Apply a primer before painting; the flesh tones of the faces on the resin heads come out well when built up in layers, and the uniforms are brought to life with shadow in the folds and highlights on the edges.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package. Bond the resin heads with super glue.
