An injection-molded plastic kit of a British military truck of the Second World War from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM, long known for its well worked-out models of wheeled vehicles. The W.O.T. 8 truck model in 1:35 scale works well as a model on its own and as a natural addition to dioramas with British vehicles - supply columns, airfield or rear-area scenes.
The W.O.T. (War Office Truck) range came about at the British branch of Ford for the needs of the army. The W.O.T. 8 type was a truck with all-wheel drive and a payload of around one and a half tons, powered by a gasoline V8. It served with British units in the rear and at the front, and part of the production was delivered to the Soviet Union under Allied aid.
Start with the frame and the running gear - level the axles on a flat surface so that the truck finally stands on all its wheels. The cab and the body are more comfortable to paint as subassemblies and to join at the end. Complete the base camouflage with a dark wash in the corners of the chassis and dust pigments on the fenders and the wheels; a fine dry brush brings the edges to life. Glue the cab glazing with a cement that does not attack clear parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
