Injection-molded plastic figure set Prussian Line Infantry (1870–1871) in 1:35 scale from ICM - four figures from the Franco-Prussian War, including a mounted officer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic figure set in 1:35 scale from ICM captures Prussian line infantry from the Franco-Prussian War. The set contains four figures - a mounted officer and three foot soldiers in period uniforms with the characteristic spiked helmet (the Pickelhaube). The presence of a mounted figure makes it a more striking, narrative scene.
The Franco-Prussian War was fought in 1870 and 1871 between Prussia (with its German allies) and France. The Prussian line infantry wore dark blue tunics, spiked helmets and the characteristic equipment of this epoch. The set belongs to the 19th century and so stands apart from the more common figures of the two world wars.
Cut the parts from the sprues, clean up the sprue gates and the mold lines and glue them with liquid cement for plastic; glue the small parts and the equipment separately. Assemble and paint the horse separately - a base color as an undercoat, layering of the coat and a fine wash work well. Paint the infantry uniforms with a brush, with the emphasis on the contrast between the dark blue tunic and the lighter equipment. Mount the figures on a temporary stand while you work.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
