Responsibility details are not available.
A detailed plastic kit of the British twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War. The set comes from a new ICM injection mold of 2025 and offers fine surface engraving, alternative bomb loads and four color schemes. It is a rewarding project both for collectors of RAF aircraft and for modelers who will appreciate a richly broken-down surface and the precision of a modern mold.
Together with the Wellington and the Whitley, the Hampden was one of the trio of medium bombers with which the RAF entered the war. Its characteristic narrow, deep fuselage earned it the nickname the flying suitcase. It was powered by a pair of Bristol Pegasus radial engines. The B.Mk.I version represents the classic bomber form, different from the later TB.Mk.I torpedo conversion.
Dry-fit the parts before gluing, above all around the narrow fuselage and the glazed cockpit. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, treat the surface with primer and apply the paints with an airbrush. The fine engraving shows to advantage after washable paints and a fine wash in the panel lines. Choose the bomb load variant and the scheme before you close the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
