Responsibility details are not available.
A diorama accessory, not an aircraft model. This set from ICM contains a set of plastic PAG-14 reinforcing panels in 1:48 scale. The panels fit together and create a hardened taxiing or parking surface on which you stand a model of an aircraft or a vehicle. It is the Soviet counterpart of the well-known pierced steel planking (Marston mat) with which field and temporary airfield surfaces were hardened during and after the war, but unlike that matting the PAG-14 panels are prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs.
Separate the panels from the sprue and glue them with thin cement for plastic; take care that the resulting surface lies flat. We recommend a primer base. Build the base in shades of concrete gray, then layer dried mud and dust with washes and pigments. Pick out the joints between the panels with a dark wash and suggest deposits of mud in the wheel tracks and the recesses. It is precisely the weathering that gives the surface an authentic, worn look.
For makers of aviation dioramas in 1:48 scale who want to stand a model on a faithful hardened surface instead of a bare base. It suits scenes with Soviet vehicles in particular. The work lies mainly in painting and weathering the surface.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
