WASH FOR WOOD (75ML

Wash for Wood 75 ml (MIG Productions)

An enamel (solvent-based) wash of 75 ml volume intended specifically for the wooden parts of models: boxes, tools, handles, planking, cladding and wooden diorama accessories. It runs into the grain of the wood and into the joints, brings out the engraving and gives the surface a weathered, aged and grayed look. The product is liquid, ready to use and thinned with mineral spirits (white spirit).

Use

• It is applied with a soft round brush over a dried base coat of the wood, ideally one with a matte clear coat.
• Let the wash flash off for about 15 minutes, then draw off the excess with a brush moistened in thinner, and in doing so draw out the grain of the plank.
• You control the intensity by thinning and by the number of coats; with a finer brush you can deliberately bring out joints and knots.
• It works excellently on tool handles and boxes on models of military vehicles.

Who it is for

For modelers of military vehicles, ships, figures and dioramas who want to age wooden details quickly and convincingly.

An enamel product containing solvents: work in a ventilated area, away from open flame. Use mineral spirits for thinning and cleaning.
