LIGHT GREY-GREEN WASH (75ML)

Light Grey-Green Wash 75 ml — MIG Productions

A ready-made wash on an enamel, that is, a solvent-based base, in a bottle with a volume of 75 ml. It is neither a covering paint nor an acrylic: it is a heavily thinned, darker shade in a light gray-green tone that is let flow around details, into joints and recesses, and thereby gives them shadow and depth. The shade is tuned so that it suits light gray and gray-green camouflages, where a purely black wash would look coarse and unnatural. It is thinned with mineral spirits or with a thinner intended for washes, never with water.

Use

• shake the bottle so that the settled pigment is mixed in
• with a soft round brush apply the wash around details, into joints, rivets and engraved lines
• let it dry for about a quarter of an hour
• wipe the surplus off with a brush lightly moistened in a thinner for washes, with a stroke from top to bottom
• repeat the procedure as needed until the surface has the depth you want
• work on a well-dried and ideally varnished base

Who the wash is for

The wash will be used by modelers of equipment, of aircraft and of diorama accessories who work with lighter camouflages, and also by builders of figures, where a subtle gray-green tone brings out the folds of fabric without the result graying off into dirt. A volume of 75 ml goes a very long way in ordinary modeling use, because the wash is applied in a thin layer and only on selected places.

The product is solvent-based and flammable. Work in a well-ventilated room, keep away from children, do not pour it down the drain and close the bottle carefully after use.
