Injection-molded plastic kit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI in 1:48 scale from ICM: a late variant of the British fighter of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the late version of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI fighter in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian manufacturer ICM. The model depicts the variant powered by the license-built Packard Merlin engine. Check the particular contents of the package, the number of decal schemes and any accessories against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Spitfire Mk.XVI grew out of the proven Mk.IX version, from which it differed above all in the Packard Merlin 266 engine built under license in the United States. It was deployed at the end of the Second World War, among other things against ground targets. Many machines were delivered with what is known as a cut-back rear fuselage and a bubble canopy, which improved the pilot's view to the rear.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint and pick out the cockpit interior before closing up the fuselage. Apply a gloss varnish before the decals and, once they have dried, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add the light wear that matches late-war service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
