An injection-molded plastic kit of the British long-range de Havilland Hornet fighter in the F.Mk.3 version, in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand AZ model. It is a modern tooling with finely engraved detail. The F.Mk.3 version was the long-range fighter variant with an increased fuel load.
The de Havilland Hornet was a twin-engined piston fighter following on from the successful Mosquito, with a mixed wood and metal structure and a pair of Rolls-Royce Merlin engines. It was among the fastest production twin-engined piston fighters ever built. The F.Mk.3 version had an increased internal fuel load and a dorsal fillet for better stability, which gave it great range especially for service overseas.
Glue the parts with thin modeling cement and protect the cockpit glazing with a mask. Take care with the accurate seating of the engine nacelles and the propellers. After spraying the base color with an airbrush, apply the gloss color of the airframe, the decals and a fine panel wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
