An injection-molded plastic kit of the MiG-29 fighter in the 9-13 version in Ukrainian Air Force service with HARM anti-radiation missiles, in 1:72 scale from ICM. The model captures the improvised integration of Western armament onto a machine of Soviet design.
The MiG-29 9-13 is the single-seat variant of the Soviet frontal fighter with its characteristic enlarged dorsal spine. In the summer of 2022 reports appeared of AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missiles being used in combat from Ukrainian MiG-29s. Engineers succeeded in integrating these missiles onto the aircraft, which turned it into a so-called radar hunter.
Assemble and paint the cockpit and the wheel bays before closing up the fuselage. Use liquid cement for plastic on the joints and lay the camouflage down with an airbrush over a primer. A gloss coat before the decals is recommended, so that they settle without silvering, and a matte coat and a light panel wash at the end to bring out the engraved lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
