Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the American multipurpose helicopter Sikorsky UH-60A Black Hawk in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian maker ICM. It is a new tool capturing the early production UH-60A in the configuration for the US Army ground forces. The set offers three marking options for different machines.
The UH-60 Black Hawk (factory designation Sikorsky S-70) won the mid-1970s competition for a new tactical transport helicopter and from the late 1970s replaced the older UH-1 in American army service. The UH-60A was the first production military version. The conventional layout with a single four-blade main rotor, a rugged structure with crew protection and redundant systems give it high survivability, and the cargo compartment takes a group of fully equipped troops or wounded on stretchers. Early UH-60As served with the US Army and the National Guard in a long list of deployments around the world and became an icon of modern military helicopter transport.
Glue the parts with thin plastic cement and sand the seams once they are dry. Finish and paint the cockpit and the cargo compartment before closing the fuselage, because both are well in view on this type. Mask the extensive glazing and use a glue that will not fog clear plastic. Assemble the main and the tail rotor carefully to keep them in alignment. Bring the military finish to life with a fine wash and light edge highlighting.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
