The pre-painted kit F-35A Lightning II in Korean markings from the Academy 4D Kit range. The parts simply snap together.
Responsibility details are not available.
Academy has placed this product in the range marked as 4D Kit. These are simplified models whose parts are colored as made and join by snapping together, so that no glue and no paints are needed to build them. This particular item represents the fifth-generation fighter F-35A Lightning II in the markings of the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF). The manufacturer does not give a scale for this whole range, so none is stated here either.
The F-35A is the single-seat version of the joint strike fighter program, meant for conventional take-off and landing from a runway. It differs from its two sister versions in, among other things, its internal gun and its ordinary landing gear. The aircraft combines reduced radar signature, an internal weapons bay and extensive sensor equipment, which assembles a picture of the situation for the pilot from several sources at once. South Korea acquired the type as a replacement for older aircraft and the machines serve with its fighter units.
Take the parts out of the frames with cutters and level the remains of the gates with a file; the colored surface scratches easily, so do not attack it with a knife. The joints hold by their shape, so press them home evenly, so that no gap is left anywhere. Anyone who wants to take the result further can overcoat the finished model with a matte varnish and bring out the panel lines with a dark shade.
The product is supplied in parts, but the parts are colored and join by snapping together. Nothing else is needed to assemble it, unless stated otherwise.
