A plastic kit of the robot Achilles from the LBX line. Supplied unassembled, put together according to the enclosed instructions, and suited to a collection of science fiction models.
Responsibility details are not available.
Under the designation LBX a line of plastic kits of small battle robots based on a Japanese entertainment series is issued. Every machine has its own name and a differently handled silhouette, armament and conception of the armor, so a collection set side by side holds together and yet does not repeat itself. This model carries the name Achilles.
The set is intended for builders who enjoy robotic subjects and would rather build a model than buy a finished one. The build does not call for experience with large kits, but patience with small parts comes in handy. Check the exact number of parts, the articulation of the finished model and any accessories against the manufacturer's details on the packaging; they are not stated here.
Before you start, go through the whole instructions and plan which parts you will leave unpainted. Try the parts dry first. Whether the joints need glue follows from the instructions, which differ from one item to another in this. Trim the flash left from production with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder, so that no white spot stands out on the finished model. If you are painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water beforehand, let them dry and apply thin coats. A final matte clear coat will unify the surface and hide small differences of shade.
The package holds a kit. Paints, glue, tools and a base are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise. The finished model is best displayed out of direct sunlight, as plastic yellows with light over time.
