A blue-gray dusk tone for night scenes, the undersides of aircraft and shaded areas. A matte acrylic paint with a volume of seventeen milliliters.

Bluegrey Dusk stands exactly on the boundary between blue and gray. Every scene set in the early evening needs such a tone: shadows on white fabric, the lower surfaces of an aircraft against the sky, a metal roof against the light. On figures it serves as the shadow component of white cloaks and as the base for naval wool cloth.
In modeling terms it is most valuable on large areas. A neutral gray is dead on them, a pure blue in turn too loud, whereas this shift gives an area depth without pulling attention away. After thinning it can be sprayed, so the underside of a fuselage arises in one pass without visible brush strokes.
The paint thins with water, dries matte and leaves no glossy spots that would disturb on a camouflaged surface. A content of seventeen milliliters lasts for several projects, the dropper neck makes it possible to dose the paint in drops and the metal ball inside solves settled pigment even before opening. Once closed, the contents are protected from the air, so they do not stiffen before their turn comes in the workshop.
When a white area is to be brought to life, this tone is applied into the recesses thinned to a glaze and only then are the upper edges returned with pure white. The result looks colder than a gray shadow and it suits a model especially where cold light is to be felt.
