This item is not a model and not a finished part but a modeling aid for making paved surfaces. Pliable modeling putty is pressed into the acrylic mold, or plaster is cast into it, and once it has set a slab with a regular paving pattern comes out. From the finished slabs a street, a courtyard, a sidewalk or the surface of a display base under a figure or a vehicle is then put together.
Acrylic is a rigid plastic, so the mold holds its plane and the impression comes out even over the whole area. That helps precisely with paving, where the joints run in a regular grid and every ripple shows in the result at once. A flexible silicone mold comes into its own instead with irregular organic structures. The Milano Paver Block designation is the name of the pattern the mold impresses.
