A themed set of paints in an acrylic form, put together for painting models of the aircraft of the time of the Normandy landings. The advantage of a themed set is that the shades are chosen as a whole: you do not have to put them together one by one from different ranges and compare whether they go with each other. How many pots the set holds, what volume they have and which shades they are is given on the packaging and in the manufacturer's listing; check against it as well whether the set covers the whole scheme of the machine you are building.
The Normandy landings took place in June 1944, and Allied aircraft over the battlefield carried conspicuous recognition markings: wide alternating white and black stripes around the wings and the fuselage, known as invasion stripes. Besides those, the machines of that time bring earthy and gray-green upper surfaces together with a lighter underside, so a well-chosen palette saves a great deal of mixing.
Stir the pot thoroughly before use, as the pigment settles at the bottom when it stands. Choose the thinner, the thinning ratio and the way of laying it on according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging, and use the product meant for this range. Lay on several thin coats instead of one heavy one, or the fine surface detail is flooded.
A kit, brushes and an airbrush are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
