AMT-4 / A-24M Green 17 ml.

Real Colors RC975 AMT-4 and A-24M Green, 17 ml

An acrylic modeling paint of the Real Colors line from AK Interactive, carried under the manufacturer's part number RC975. The bottle holds 17 ml. The shade is a camouflage green and the name gives two Soviet designations side by side, AMT-4 and A-24M. The abbreviation AMT belongs to the Soviet flat aircraft finishes of the Second World War period; the second designation comes from another range of finishes of the day.

Where you will use the shade

A green of this kind forms the base area of the upper camouflage on Soviet aircraft, whether on its own or in a two-color division with a brown. Its natural place is a model of a machine of the Eastern Front, where it covers the fuselage, the wings and the tail surfaces. It also comes in on vehicles, on artillery pieces and on crates in a diorama, where it stands in for a subdued military green.

How to work with the paint

• Stir the contents through thoroughly before you pick any up, because the pigment settles to the bottom and without stirring the shade is off.
• Apply it in several thin coats and let them dry between one another; one heavy coat floods the scribed detail of the surface.
• On large areas even the shade out once it has dried, and overlap the individual passes of the airbrush by half.
• For thinning and for cleaning, use the thinner intended for the Real Colors line; the ratio is given in the instructions of the manufacturer.
• Try the shade beforehand on a piece of scrap plastic, not straight on the model.
• Close the bottle carefully after the work, because open paint thickens.

Storage and packaging

Store the paint in a closed bottle away from heat and from frost. Paint that has thickened can be thinned again, but check the resulting tone on a test sample.

The package contains one bottle of paint of 17 ml. Thinner, brushes, an airbrush and a model are not included, unless stated otherwise.
