A model of the American twin-engine fighter aircraft built from the system of plastic bricks of the Polish manufacturer COBI. It is not an injection-molded plastic model: the parts are not cut from sprues, not glued, sanded or sprayed, they are merely clicked together according to pictorial instructions. The coloring of the airframe is given by the shade of the bricks and by printing. With this manufacturer the Armed Forces range is reserved for contemporary military hardware.
The F-15 Eagle is a heavy twin-engine fighter aircraft designed for air combat at long range. Characteristic features are the high-mounted wing with a large area, the pair of vertical tail surfaces, the angular air intakes with a movable forward section and a very favorable thrust-to-weight ratio, which gives the aircraft a high rate of climb and agility in the vertical. The glazing of the cockpit offers a good all-round view. The type has seen a series of modernized and multirole versions, which differ in equipment and in the shape of the additions on the fuselage. The designation in the name of the product does not determine a particular version; it is stated on the packaging of the product.
The build calls for no tools or chemicals. On an aircraft with twin vertical tail surfaces asymmetry shows up most, so after every section of the instructions check that the layers have seated fully home, and look at the finished rear fuselage from behind along its axis. Fit the wing only once the fuselage is finished and make sure that both halves lie in the same plane. Leave the small parts, the stores and the landing gear to the end, so they do not come loose during handling. The finished model can be taken apart and for permanent display a closed case does it good.
The kit is supplied unassembled. The bricks are joined by clicking together; glue and paints are not needed to finish it and are not included in the package.
